If you had told me I would be teaching Kindergarten remotely from my living room fifteen years ago I would have looked at you with great confusion. Actually, had anyone told me I would have been teaching period I would have questioned their sanity. I have had many "plot twists" in my journey and I thank my life in the theatre for the ability to roll with these twists and this BIG one is no exception. While it has been an emotional roller coaster, your suppport, our cohesive caring staff and the love from your children we will get through this.

I left my life as a working professional musical theatre actor fifteen years ago to come home to Lethbridge and persue my third degree. This time in Education. I decided early on I didn't want to teach Drama/Theatre as I still wanted to participate and be on the stage and had NO interest in directing. While doing course work, practicums, and working as an Educational Assistant, I found a deep passion in differentiated instruction and learning support. My very first job (the one they always tell you to take no matter what) was in Kindergarten. I had never been in a Kindergarten classroom in any of my practicums but I could not have felt more at home. It's where both my passions came together. Drama, differentiated instruction and learning support. More passions have come out of my love of early childhood education for example brain development, gross and fine motor growth, and the importance of play. And let's be honest, you've met me, I have Peter Pan syndrome - I WILL NEVER GROW UP.
